You Are The Answer To Somebody's Prayer

We do a song that starts like this:

You can be the answer to somebody's prayer,
if you'll only open up your heart and let the Lord shine.
If you're ever feeling down and lonely and you don't know what to do,
turn to the Son of God and His peace will lead you through.
I f you're feeling like you have no purpose and love has all run out,
take a stand, help your fellow man, that's what it's all about.

Every member of the church has been called by God to be a minister. This includes you. Contrary to popular belief, the greatest ministry is performed by those who are not necessarily in the public eye. But God sees them and is very pleased with them. True ministry is this: Give food to the hungry! Help provide shelter and clothing for the poor and homeless! Visit the sick and lonely! Find a widow who needs help and help her! The list goes on and on.

So, start doing these things and then you will call, and the LORD will answer, Here I am. The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy you when you are lonely or hurt: and you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring whose waters never run dry.

You are God's gift to the church! You are God's gift to us! Never doubt it or forget it. There is not another you and we can never get a replacement. We need you and the gifts that God has given you.

Stop thinking, "But my gift is so small, so insignificant.' Jesus told us that we are the salt of the earth. How important is salt? It doesn't take a lot of salt to make an immense difference in foods. Try a salt free diet, if you doubt that. That little bit of salt makes so much difference! So if you think your gift is small, then remember salt. The body cannot live without salt. What may seem small to you is very, very important. God gives no insignificant gifts! Ignore any thought, message, word, or anything that tries to take this truth away from you. Learn the following scripture and remind yourself of it always:

"I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" Philipians 3:14.

And you can be the answer to somebody's prayer,
if you'll only open up your heart and let the Lord shine.

So, keep pressin' on!
